How can i get rid of yard squirrels?

I have some freakin squirrels eating their way into my roof and around my yard- state law says its illegal to kill the squirrel unless your going to eat them......

Get yourself a live trap for squirrels. Bait it with chocolate. Drive far away to an urban area to release them.
well u could feed the squirrels corn (use a nail and corn comb) in or on a certain tree....bird feed works as well.....if they are tryin to eat through ur roof try using habanera sauce or Ropel spray u can also trap them ( u can get a trap from any farm store...yes totally legal....u can also make sure the entrance there tryin to get into is sealed





also u can use a predator unrine to in a way make the squirrel fear detour them from entering ur house....ro-pel is a good squirrel b gone way
Perhaps you should touch yourself vigorously at night instead of contemplating trivial rodent issues.
Do what ';JC'; says and you could end up with the EPA at your door with a big fine. In my state, you'll also be looking at 2 to 5 years in jail for animal abuse. Not to mention the fact that the anti-freeze will end up back into the water table.


I won't even began what I think about ';Borris';.


You sound like you're not happy but you don't really want to hurt the squirrels. It's true that you can start feeding them as far away from the house as possible. If you have trees, you can build squirrel houses for them and put them on the trees away from your house. Both of these will help if they are trying to get into your house because they are looking for food or shelter.


Another option, I don't know if you have a Harbor Freight Store or a farm store where you live, but you can get a ';Harold The Hoot Owl'; or two to place where the squirrels usually climb up. I believe that Menard's has them too. They take two AA batteries and they hoot whenever something pasts in front of them. They are a squirrels natural predator. You may want these things before going for the trapping.

Once a squirrel ';group'; finds an area they like, it's really hard to get rid of them other then killing them or live trapping and removing them more then 5 miles away. If they are coming into the residence you will need to ';hardware cloth'; with extremely strong/thick material every crack and crease they have found. They will come back over and over and they are efficient at finding and chewing holes thru wood walls (especially Momma as she if trying to find a place to have her litter).
