Why dogs hate squirrel?

I watched UP, and I noticed that those dogs hate squirrel. I am from Philippines and a squirrel is never to be found here... I think squirrels are cute but I dont have any idea how they act... so I am being curious... Why dogs hate squirrel?Why dogs hate squirrel?
The reason for dogs chasing squirrels can be seen as primal instinct. Maybe they resemble cats. Maybe dogs envy them and their ability to climb amongst the trees. Who knows? Mostly squirrels chatter in the trees and make annoying sounds when they gnaw at nuts. I have not seen UP so I am not sure about the ';Hate'; part. Some people think that animals don't have free will, and that their Instinct controls them, making it impossible for them to hate anything. As for the dogs hating squirells in the movie, it could have just been the producers capitalizing on an idea.Why dogs hate squirrel?

Dogs have hunting instincts which is why dogs chase squirrels and cats and stuff like that.
They don't hate them they just have a natural instinct to chase them.
It is the dogs instinct to chase things so yup =)
